The Creativity of Artisans

The skills of artisans live and breathe in every detail of a Credor watch. Drawing on specialized techniques and experiences,
the artisans pour their aspirations into each of their creations, relying on a process of trial and error to achieve perfection.
Credor conveys its commitment to Japanese aesthetics and artisanal passion to the world in the form of a wristwatch.

The Micro Artist Studio, nestled in a corner of the Seiko Epson Shiojiri Plant was established in 2000 for the purpose of “refining and carrying on the techniques and skills of luxury watchmaking to create Japan’s finest watches, widely recognized as among the world’s best.” Starting with the release in 2006 of the Credor Spring Drive Sonnerie, the studio has produced a number of masterpiece models. One reason the watches made by the Micro Artist Studio are called “masterpieces” is that the artisans in the studio are responsible for everything from the dial, movement, and exterior to the final inspection. At this studio, truly excellent movements are created based on the Spring Drive, by means of exquisite finishing, down to the smallest detail, and unique mechanisms. Some of the Credor watches are the culmination of such Micro Artist Studio techniques and skills.
