Studios
Micro Artist Studio is one of the main studios in the “The Shinshu Watch Studio.” It was established in 2000 within the Shiojiri facility of Seiko Epson Corporation with the aim of passing on the advanced skills of master craftsmen. Master craftsmen, including holders of the gold medal of the “WorldSkills Competition” and the “Medal with Yellow Ribbon,” are in charge of complicated watches using their advanced techniques and skills in this studio.
The Spring Drive models of the Masterpiece Collection are manufactured here.
Craftsmen are responsible for the production processes of these watches, such as assembly of movement and exterior, production of porcelain dials, adjustment, final inspection and shipping.
Shizukuishi Watch Studio is a specialized studio established in 2004 in Morioka Seiko Instruments Inc. (Shizukuishi Town in Iwate Prefecture), and dedicated to the integrated production of luxury mechanical watches. Morioka Seiko Instruments Inc. operates its own “Professional Personnel System” as a unique talent development program. It is an initiative that has passed on the advanced skills of master craftsmen to the next generation, by evaluating mechanical watch repair skills based on Iwate Prefecture's “Skill Evaluation Certification System” since 2006.
All the Credor mechanical models are manufactured here.
