Eichi II

The Eichi II was released in 2014 to commemorate both the 40th anniversary of the Credor brand and the 15th anniversary of Spring Drive, which is powered by a mainspring just like a mechanical watch but is regulated by the advanced technology of an IC and crystal oscillator for improved accuracy.

An exquisite marriage of aesthetic beauty with the advanced craftsmanship and technical skill developed by Credor over many years, the Eichi II represents a natural evolution in style and design from the original Eichi of 2008.

The pinnacle of simple elegance, inheriting the spirit of the original Eichi of 2008

Featuring a movement entirely assembled by hand by a team of highly skilled artisan watchmakers, the Eichi II delivers enhanced functionality such as durability and user-friendly design in a stunningly beautiful package.

This special horological creation hails from the elite Micro Artist Studio, located within the Seiko Epson Shiojiri facility.

The power reserve indicator, which shows the remaining power in the main spring, is located on the back of the watch instead of on the dial. This design update preserves the quintessential simplicity of the dial, which has hands for just the hours, the minutes, and the seconds.

The movement comprises two large bridges, one of which has the power reserve indicator on it, allowing the wearer to see the state of wind on a display that perfectly harmonizes with the overall design of the Caliber 7R14.

The edges of the bridges and the holes for the screws and jewels are convex and polished by hand by skilled artisans to catch the light from any angle. The contrast between the hairline finish of the bridges and the polished edges and the tempered blue screws produces a stunning aesthetic.

The porcelain dial features hand-painted hour markers that will not fade

The highly skilled watchmakers of the Micro Artist Studio carefully paint each of the 12 hour markers and the Credor logo by hand on a pure white porcelain dial inspired by the snowy landscape of the Shinshu region of Japan. The pigment used for the hour markers blends beautifully with the three tempered hands to create an exquisitely deep shade of blue.

The innovative Torque Return System for an extended power reserve

When the mainspring has been fully wound and the torque output is at its highest, approximately 30% of the available power is not needed to maintain the precision of the watch and is in effect wasted in a normal movement. The Torque Return System uses this energy to rewind the mainspring, increasing the power reserve. In Caliber 7R14, this system is active for 35 hours after the mainspring has been fully wound.
By using the available energy more effectively, the Torque Return System increases the power reserve of the Caliber 7R14 to around 60 hours. This represents a 25% improvement over the manual-winding Spring Drive Caliber 7R88, which delivers 48 hours of power reserve.
